Super Collider, The Fourteenth Studio Album of Megadeth

Megadeth

What the hell is going on this June? I can't believe this. Megadeth is also going to release their fourteenth studio album, “Super Collider”. The band revealed on August 22, 2012, that they would be returning to the studio with producer Johnny K to record their fourteenth album. On October 27, Dave Mustaine, guitarist and main man of Megadeth revealed that the band was planning to start the recording for this album  in the first week of November 2012, before leaving the studio for the American leg of the Countdown to Extinction 20th anniversary tour. And sooner, the next day, Mustaine that he had chosen a title and cover art for the new album, though neither was revealed at that time. As with Megadeth’s previous studio effort, Thirteen, work on the album was done at "Vic's Garage", the band's own studio in San Marcos, California. The song of this album, "Kingmaker" will make its online debut shortly. The track will be unveiled by one lucky fan who will be chosen to premiere the song on his or her personal Twitter feed.

December 18, 2012 Shawn Drover, drummer of Megadeth revealed that the band had started recording for the fourteenth studio album, “Super Collider”. On December 24, 2012, Mustaine announced that three new songs were tracked and almost done. And then on February 12, 2013, Mustaine announced that their fourteenth album, “Super Collider” will be released on June 4 on Mustaine's new label, Tradecraft, distributed through Universal Music Enterprises. Lastly on April 23, 2013, "Super Collider" was released as a single available for purchase through iTunes. Mustaine, the mainman of Megadeth told on Guitar World in the new June 2013 issue that “You can't always play aggressive, thrashy stuff. Sometimes those aren't even songs; they're like musical rams. But because I'm not a pop guy, I'm also not really comfortable playing sing-along songs. To me, ‘Super Collider’ made sense like a normal song — a verse-chorus-verse-chorus kind of thing. It’s written the way a real songwriter would write the song, instead of just taking all these musical twists and turns."

Megadeth is one of the most famous and successful American heavy metal and thrash metal band in the world. In 1983 Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson started the band. In the past Dave Mustaine plays in Metallica. For some technical problem he left Metallica in 1983 and formed the band, Megadeth. Megadeth became one of the leading bands of the genre during the mid- and late '80s by streamlining the classic thrash metal approach and making the music more threatening, as well as making the lyrics more nihilistic. A pioneer of the American thrash metal movement, Megadeth rose to international fame in the 1980s and is ranked as one of the "Big Four of Thrash" along with Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax. The band was formed almost about 30 years ago and during 30 years activities more than 20 different people have officially performed as part of the group, with Mustaine being the only constant member. Throughout Megadeth's many lineup changes, the two core members were bassist Dave Ellefson and guitarist/vocalist Dave Mustaine who was the band's official leader.

The band has sold over 50 million records worldwide with six consecutive albums being certified platinum or multi-platinum in the US, according to the band's official website. Peace Sells... but Who's Buying? So Far, So Good... So What!, Rust in Peace, Youthanasia, and Cryptic Writings all achieved platinum status, the band's fifth and most successful record, Countdown to Extinction, sold multi-platinum, and the album Risk achieved gold certification. In a recent interview with the "Shockwaves"/"HardRadio" podcast, Mustaine stated about "Kingmaker",
"It's no secret that I had surgery on my neck. I think that when I showed up at the 'Big Four' show [at the Yankee stadium in September 2011] with a neck brace on, people kind of figured out that there was something wrong with me. It turns out that I had a broken bone in my neck and a shard of my vertebrae got into my spinal cord and was causing me tremendous pain for a very long time. I had started taking pain pills and became chemically dependent on it.
With my substance-abuse history, it was really hard for me to go from being an addict and an alcoholic and then getting set free from all that stuff. 'Cause I went to the whole twelve-step thing, which was really beneficial for me, but unfortunately, for me it wasn't an anonymous program; I would go in there and whatever I would say, people would talk about. So it really violated my anonymity. It's also a program that is based on God, but when I would talk about God in there, they would say, 'Ah, G.O.D. stands for Group of Drunks.' And it's, like, 'No, it doesn't. Can't you spell, you retard? That's why you're in here.' But at the time, it was very influential in my life and very important and I respect it tremendously and I wish anybody who needs a twelve-step program will find one... "

"The song 'Kingmaker' is about how people are running from their problems… And there's a lot of that on this particular record — just looking at, like, 'Here's what I've got. What are you gonna do with it?' It's talking a lot about this generation, how people, their lives are falling apart and they just take pills. Instead of sucking up and doing what I did and going and getting the surgery and getting off the medication, they'll continue to just trudge it out until the end of their life where they just take pills until their body is eaten… And the other thing that's part of that song is talking about how when you take these things how they make you feel different. Some people, they get into that 'cause they like the way it makes you feel, 'cause it makes you kind of feel warm and fuzzy. In the song, it talks about wanting to fly and being ten feet tall. Booze does that to some people. And this is just something that, I think, if there is a way that I can help educate a lot of our fans, especially the younger ones that still have their whole life ahead of them, it's not as glamorous as you think it is to go down that path of just checking it out and drugging yourself up and not facing reality…

Part of what 'Kingmaker' means to me is that I am able to look back now on this whole episode of my life, being a slave to Big Pharma. You have no idea what a pain in the ass it was. In order to travel to go overseas, and I needed the medication with me, to know that if my backpack would have been stolen and my medication would have been gone, that I would have gone into serious withdrawals and been hospitalized and the tour would have been over. That kind of stuff; it's horrifying. And my heart goes out to the people that are stuck in that vicious circle and slavery to narcotics. Granted, you need it if you're in pain, but…"

Black Sabbath And Their Nineteenth Studio Album, 13 Is Going To Release After Eighteen Years

Black Sabbath

It’s a very long time? Yes it is; about eighteen years later Black Sabbath is going to release their nineteenth studio album. On 13 January 2013, the band announced that the album would be released in June under the title 13.  Mixing of the album was started in February. The album is undertaken to be released on 10 June 2013 in Europe and 11 June 2013 in North America, via Vertigo Records and Republic Records in the US, and via Vertigo Records worldwide. It will be the first studio album released by Black Sabbath since Forbidden (1995), and their first studio recording with original singer Ozzy Osbourne and bassist Geezer Butler since the live album Reunion (1998). It is also the first studio album with Osbourne since Never Say Die! (1978), and Butler since Cross Purposes (1994). Brad Wilk, the drummer of Rage Against the Machine was selected as the drummer, and Rick Rubin was selected as the producer. On 12 April 2013, the band released the album's tracklis. The standard version of the album features eight new tracks, and the deluxe version features three bonus tracks. The vocal of this band, Ozzy Osbourne commented about this band "It's a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned. I heard the finished thing last week and I've got to be truthful with you, I was so bowled over by the way it sounded. If you liked Black Sabbath in the old days, you gotta love '13.' It's very heavy. It's very, very heavy. I'm my own worst critic," the singer adds. "Rather than the pluses I look for the minuses. And I haven't been this excited for an album in a long, long time. I can't remember the last time.

The full '13' track list is:

Black Sabbath and 13
     End of The Beginning
     God is Dead?
     Loner

English band, Black Sabbath are cited as pioneers of heavy metal. The band has since experienced multiple lineup changes, with Tony Iommi the only constant presence in the band through the years. Formed in 1968 as a heavy blues rock band named Earth, the band began incorporating occult themes with horror-inspired lyrics and tuned-down guitars. Despite an association with occult and horror themes, Black Sabbath also composed songs dealing with social instability, political corruption, and the dangers of drug abuse and apocalyptic prophecies of the horrors of war. The band helped define the genre with releases such as Paranoid, released in 1970. They were ranked by MTV as the "Greatest Metal Band" of all time, and placed second in VH1's "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock" list, behind Led Zeppelin. Rolling Stone magazine ranked them among the "100 greatest artists of all time". They have sold over 15 million records in the United States and over 70 million records worldwide. Black Sabbath were inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.

Black Sabbath has been as influential in the development of heavy metal rock music as to be a defining force in the style. The band took the blues-rock sound of late '60s acts like Cream, Blue Cheer, and Vanilla Fudge to its logical conclusion, about slowing the tempo, about accentuating the bass, and also emphasizing screaming guitar solos and howled vocals full of lyrics expressing mental anguish. If their ancestors clearly came out of an electrified blues tradition, Black Sabbath took that tradition in a new direction, and helped to give birth to a musical style that continued to attract millions of fans decades later. I think that if there was no bloody sabbaths, there shouldn't be the metal. So thanks the Sabbaths for this bloody captivating music style.

Line up of Black Sabbath

The Latest Lineup of This Band:

     Tony Iommi – lead guitar
     Ozzy Osbourne – lead vocals
     Geezer Butler – bass guitar
     Brad Wilk – drums

Black Sabbath have gone through many line-ups and stylistic changes, their original sound focused on ominous lyrics and doomy music, often making use of the musical tritone, also called the "devil's interval". While their first two albums had slight compositional similarities to the progressive rock genre that was growing in popularity at the time, standing in stark contrast to popular music of the early 1970s Black Sabbath's dark sound was dismissed by rock critics of the era. Much like many of their early heavy metal contemporaries, the band received virtually no airplay on rock radio. As the band's primary songwriter, Tony Iommi wrote the majority of Black Sabbath's music, while Osbourne would write vocal melodies, and bassist Geezer Butler would write lyrics. The process was sometimes frustrating for Iommi, who often felt pressured to come up with new material. "If I didn't come up with anything, nobody would do anything." On Iommi's influence", Osbourne later said, “Black Sabbath never used to write a structured song. There'd be a long intro that would go into a jazz piece, then go all folky ... and it worked. Tony Iommi and I have said this a zillion times—should be up there with the greats. He can pick up a guitar, play a riff, and you say, 'He's gotta be out now, he can't top that.' Then you come back, and I bet you a billion dollars, he'd come up with a riff that'd knock your fucking socks off.

Karnival is four aspiring musicians from Bangladesh. They're the persons who all share their dedicated love in a wide range of music - starting from The Beatles to 70s prog/psychedelic platform to 90s grunge & post-britpop scenario to modern-day groups like Radiohead. This diversity resulted in the experimental attitude Karnival lately adopted in their song writing. Originally formed in 2006, the band had to wait until it could stick to a permanent line-up in the second year of its existence. On September 19, 2009 Karnival came up with the debut solo album 'Indraloy' from Fahim Music. Nevertheless, the following year Karnival attempted a sudden change in the line-up & settled down at the present one. This is considered by many as the transformation of the band due to their apparent musical switch from the previous works based on sound, originality & experimentation. On September 20, 2012 - Karnival released their highly anticipated solo album 'Attotshorgo' from G-Series.  They also worked in a renowned band mix album, Republic and released a track, Bikrito Drishti.

De-Illumination Gig-Rock For Relief : Concert For Today's Society

De-Illumination

Hundreds of people lost their lives when a building in Savar collapsed. Many families have lost their loved ones. Many garment workers who died in that incident were the only earning source for their families. What is going to happen to their families now? How will they survive? It is our duty as a human being to help the effected people and their families in any possible way. All the money raised from this concert will be donated to Savar and the poor children living in streets and to their families.

All the funds collected from the event shall be handed over to Incursion as part of their Incursion Savar Relief Program which will be donated to helping the victims of the Savar Tragedy.
